Off to the University of Calgary

Sorry about the lack of a 'puttering in my garden' picture, but since the new hard drive/server was set up, the folder with my garden photos has disappeared. I haven't bothered to check to see if I have any saved on disc. The reason for this post is simply to make available to family a glimpse of Christine's apartment.

You see, I'm just back from Calgary, having settled Christine into her on-campus apartment. We set aside four days to set up house, grocery shop, run around campus getting 'stuff' done, cook/bake food for the freezer - bascially settle in. It was fun.

Anyway here are the pictures.

Hello Amy,

This is going to sound really out of the blue, but i am a New Zealand student coming to study at the University of Calgary next year starting January and i was google searching the different halls available on campus and came across this blog. I am very uninformed and unsure about what the halls are like ie. what are the best in terms of quality, student culture etc. And it would be so incredibly helpful if i could discuss these and other topics about the U of C with your daughter who i have read has recently attended. Please dont take this as a strange comment, i am very sincere and the help would be a real blessing. If your daughter is willing to help answer a few of my questions i am happy to use this blog as a means of communication, otherwise i have a facebook or email address i could disclose to you if you were happier that way. If you could reply to this as soon as possible that would be awesome, Thankyou.
Sincerely, Thomas.
